This is a multi use clip on small light measuring 53mm from top to bottom including the clip.  It is powered by a single CR2032 battery which can easily be changed by prising the 2 halves apart and sliding out the old battery.  From experience the battery lasts quite a long time and they are very cheap to replace.  (The batteries can be bought cheaply from Ebay in a strip of 5).  They can be clipped onto the "D" rings of a saddle, or clipped onto a dog collar.  It is easy to turn it on and off - you simply squeeze the globe between your fingers.
